MINISTRY OF HEALTH - Employment in Cyprus as a nurse/ midwife

All nurses and midwives, who are interested in practicing their profession in the Republic of Cyprus and/ or be employed, in either the public or private health care sector, must apply to the Registrar of Nursing and Midwifery Council, who in turn will forward the application to the Nursing and Midwifery Council which will examine it and determine whether the applicant is eligible or not for registration. In addition to the registration, the applicant must apply for license to practice which must be renewed after one or four years.

The Registrar of Nursing and Midwifery, who by law must be a nurse or a midwife, is responsible for the Registry and it’s publishing every year in the Cyprus Government Gazette.
