As of 1st January 2020, Cyprus has undertaken the role of the Reference Member State (RMS) in the procedure of issuing marketing authorisations through the Mutual Recognition Procedure (MRP) and the Decentralized Procedure (DCP).
The Mutual Recognition Procedure with Cyprus as the Reference Member State is only valid for products which already have a marketing authorisation in Cyprus and which intend to obtain a marketing authorisation in another Member State. The Decentralised Procedure applies to products which do not have a marketing authorisation in the European Union, and for which the Marketing Authorisation Holder wishes to obtain a marketing authorisation in more than one Member State.
In order to better organise the available resources and planning, the interested parties are invited to submit their requests as soon as possible concerning their intention and the reservation of slots.
