The Medicinal Product Pricing Committee (MPPC) advises the Minister on issues related to the prices of medicinal products in accordance with the Medicines for Human Use (Control of Quality, Supply and Pricing) Law of 2001 (70 (I) / 2001).
The Medicinal Product Price Control Committee is appointed by the Council of Ministers and consists of 9 members:
(a) 2 officials serving in the Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health
(b) 1 official serving in the Ministry of Finance
(c) 1 official serving in the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry
(d) 1 pharmacist from the private sector
(e) 1 person with knowledge and experience in the wholesale of medicinal products
(f) 1 person with knowledge and experience in the manufacture of medicinal products
(g) 1 person representing the Cyprus Consumers Association
(h) 1 person representing patients.
