Weather
With an average of 326 sunshine days each year, Cyprus is a paradise for the outdoors life. The island enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers from June to September and mild winters from November to March. Spring and autumn are short with varied and rapidly changing weather patters in November and April.
Storms and gales are rare, though snow does fall on ground above 1,000 metres in the mountains. Average annual rainfall for the island as a whole is approximately 500 mm and long periods of drought are common.
