The Cyprus State General Laboratory (SGL) co-organized with the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) the 25th Annual Meeting of the ENFSI Drugs Working Group meeting at 7-9/5/2019 in Larnaca, Cyprus.
The goals of the meeting were to build further the capacity of the ENFSI Network in combating crime and illicit drugs, enhance its role in supporting Police, International Justice Organizations and advance its competency in detecting drugs, through the use of advanced techniques. Subjects that were covered during the meeting, included a broad and in depth overview of a number of the state-of-the-art topics and approaches in this area.
More than 80 experts on illicit drugs and new psychoactive substances, from 34 countries and 52 different Forensic Institutes attended the meeting.
The exhibition of modern instrumentation and techniques which was held in parallel with the meeting was also of a great value, giving the opportunity to the participants to familiarize with the most recent techniques in this specific area.
