The State General Laboratory of the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment proceeded to the 1rst publication of the "Pollen Atlas of the Honey Flora of Cyprus". The atlas includes the identification and classification of 120 well-known Cypriot honey flowers as well as the microscopic examination and display of their pollen grains. The flowers were collected and analyzed the period February 2015 - February 2016.
The aim of the ‘Pollen Atlas of the Honey Flora of Cyprus’ is to identifying Cypriot honey concerning its botanical and geographical origin.
